Open Left - Quick Hits's RSS Feed — TPM: Bill Owens will have been a member of Congress less than five hours when he is treated to a private sit-down with President Obama. So Owens gets an immediate private meeting with the president, but Garamendi, who until this week was also Lt Governor of the nation's largest state evidently doesn't warrant a meeting.   Hard to not link that to Owens being a likely blue dog and Garamendi being a progressive.
