Hey, how about spending another $2 trillion?
Michelle Malkin —
Because we aren’t digging a deep enough hole : President Obama’s climate plan could cost industry close to $2 trillion, nearly three times the White House’s initial estimate of the so-called “cap-and-trade” legislation, according to Senate staffers who were briefed by the White House. A top economic aide to Mr. Obama told a group of Senate staffers last month that the president’s climate-change plan would surely raise more than the $646 billion over eight years the White House had estimated publicly, according to multiple a number of staffers who attended the briefing Feb. ...
It’s a Record: An $11 Trillion Debt! (Rep. Michelle Bachmann)
Congress Blog —
Given our pattern of bailouts and spending measures over the past several months, it comes as no surprise that our national debt has surpassed $11 trillion, the largest it has ever been in our nation’s history. Hopefully, this absolutely enormous number will temper President Obama’s plans to continue his government spend-a-thon. But from what we’ve been hearing from the White House and among Democrat leaders here in Congress, it appears that we should just buckle in for more business as usual. In fact, one of President Obama’s top legislative priorities seems to be passing a “cap-and-trade” -– or cap-and-tax, as I call it -– policy for America that makes businesses and energy ...

Rising Tide of Red Ink
Moonbattery —
Sea levels are rising all right — providing you're talking about the sea of red ink emanating from Washington. Liberals who have the gall to squawk about the debt run up by W need to take a look at this:
Even if the economy recovers, we will be drowning in debt for at least a decade — and there has been no indication that Obama's ...
The AIG Bonuses Versus Obama's Climate Plan
Moonbattery —
For a little perspective, this graphic gives an indication of the difference in scale between the costs of the AIG bonus distraction and the climate plan with which Obama plans to administer a coup de grâce to our teetering economy.
The red line can represent either the climate plan or the amount by which Obama's teleprompter underestimated the deficit in its 10-year budget, according to the CBO. If you scroll down far enough, you'll see a green line that represents the relative size of the bonuses.

Prince Chucklehead in a Funk
Moonbattery —
If you consider Hollywood a separate planet, Prince Charles is possibly the most highly paid useless person in the world. But even he can find cause for self-pity. On the topic of his latest extravagant carbon-spewing tour:
"All I have been trying to do is remind people that we have to live and work in harmony with nature if we are to have any chance of surviving on this planet," Charles told the Sunday Telegraph in the Galapagos Islands at the end of a 10-day tour of South America.
Asked if he was frustrated his warnings had not been taken seriously, he replied: "It is depressing. I am not doing this for myself but, as I ...
