Palin: Iraq war ‘a task that is from God’
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told ministry students at her former church that the United States sent troops to fight in the Iraq war on a “task that is from God.”
In an address last June, the Republican vice presidential candidate also urged ministry students to pray for a plan to build a $30 billion natural gas pipeline in the state, calling it “God’s will.”
As a left leaning independent this is way over the line for me.

... Perhaps that is so, but there will be real costs in terms of the radicalization of a new wave of terrorists. To the extent that we take the "war on terror" seriously, our dubious role in Iraq should not be underestimated. And someone should probably tell Sarah Palin that God doesn't root for such callousness. ...

Remember when people asked why Palin wasn't rushing to do MSM interviews?
Stubborn Facts —
... Yes, those were Palin's "exact words" - but Gibson is misrepresenting the quote with the material omission of the rest of the sentence from which those words are wrenched. Palin did not say "Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God"; she said, "we need to pray that our leaders, that our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God." The words Gibson left out utterly change the meaning of the quote from a prayer ("we must pray that they are") to an assertion ("they are"). ...

Journalists doctored the quote so that this manufactured Palin would scare American voters. Nice work trying to set a trap, Charlie. And great work doctoring the original quote, Gene Johnson of the Associated Press. I'm sure you've both made ...
