kick this guy out of the party? The question wasn't kicking Lieberman out of the party. Democrats in Connecticut already did that in 2006. And once again, given this ...

"Team of Rivals" As the New Broderism
Open Left - Front Page —

And so what about the other side of the "team?" If "Team of Rivals" = "Bipartisanship," shouldn't there be some full-on progressives in some very powerful positions? Wouldn't that complete the "team" in "Team of Rivals" and the "bi" in "bipartisan?" Or are we really not going to see a "team" nor "bipartisanship" - but merely lockstep corporatism/conservatism ...

The Mandate
yglesias.thinkprogress.org 11/10/2008 — My colleagues and bosses will, of course, have more official things to say on this subject in the morning, but for now look at the issues tab from the Ohio exit polls , that I’ll take as a stand-in for the as-yet-unavailable national numbers:

Mandate
krugman.blogs.nytimes.com 11/5/2008 — A magnificent victory for Barack Obama. And bear in mind that the campaign, in its final stages, was really about different philosophies of governing. This wasn't like the 2004 campaign, which was essentially fought over fake issues - Bush running on ...

deanesmay.com 11/7/2008 — North Carolina makes nine red states flipped to blue. And Texas is on track for 2012 . With the axiom that the popular vote is the best metric for gauging the existence of a mandate, I look at the numbers and conclude that Obama has a clearer mandate ...
