The AP desperately tries to play the race card on Palin.

Palin told a group of donors in Englewood, Colo. A deliberate
attempt to smear Obama, McCain's ticket-mate echoed the line at
three separate events Saturday.
I quibble at the word "smear" - it's usually reserved for
charges that are not actually true - but note that this is what the
AP is working off of, and note my bolding. All clear so far?
