LaHood's pretty reasonable as Republicans go, even if he did chair the Clinton impeachment he was chosen because he was seen as more fair and less partisan than most others. He's one of the few Republicans who refused to sign Newt Gingrich's contract for America, and anyone who tells Gingrich where to get off can't be all bad.
