Obama's attacks on Joe the Plumber backfire
USS Neverdock —
People are starting to see the real Obama and it's making them mad. About time. "That said, the way the pro-Obama media and bloggers, and Obama himself, have responded to Joe has got me nearly shaking with rage. They are attempting to destroy a man — a private citizen — who had the audacity to ask The One a question. Mind you, Joe was on his front lawn playing football with his son when Obama strolled up to give him his hopenchange spiel. Obama approached Joe, not the other way around. And Joe asked Obama an honest question. ...

The O-body count is growing and the Left and Obama haven't really even achieved any power of the executive kind so far. Everyone who has gotten in the way of Obama's path to power has been horribly run down. It's also obvious that they would happily destroy them if they could.
If you needed one single reason to vigorously oppose Obama and energetically support McCain, this might be it.
According to this I'm not alone in thinking that. And yet, for that Joe is being pilloried, ...

... the media’s disposal. They will hunt through your garbage, comb the records and generally ignore everything else going on in the world until you are put out of work or jailed. They will unleash barrels of ink and terabytes or pixels on you and will smear you relentlessly. Is this the change you wanted? Is this what you hoped for? Is this going to happen to you if Obama approaches you and you dare to ask him a question? Probably. But there are signs that this is going to be a huge - biblically huge - mistake.

... Plumbing Service" Shanks, an independent voter, said he's supporting Republican Sen. John McCain, citing the official's career experience in office as the deciding factor for him. . . . Shanks likened the decision to a homeowner in need of a plumber - would you hire the guy who just got his trade license, he asked, or a seasoned professional?"Could it be possible that plumbers aren't a monolithic voting block - or that some would defy the Union?

I could care less about Joe’s background, whether he’s legit, or whether he is a McCain operative. What I do care about is that I could be attacked like a public figure simply for asking a question, like Joe. I am chilled. No longer undecided either.
No comment, except to correct a few misconceptions. Joe works for a licensed plumber, and therefore, doesn’t need to be licensed (if he buys out the business, he will). Joe did not approach Obama. Joe was in his front yard ...
