Big GOP consultant comes out against anti-gay measure in Florida
AMERICAblog News| A great nation deserves the truth —
This is interesting. Roger Stone is a longtime name in Republican political circles. He's a bit of a dandy (okay, a lot of a dandy), and has had his own run-ins with the morality police (he and his wife were caught running ads in a wife-swapper's magazine). He's also the guy who claims he tipped the cops to Elliot Spitzer's prostitution habit. So it's interesting that Stone, a far-right conservative, and a rather nasty man politically, is coming out vocally against Florida's anti-gay "marriage" amendment. Here is what Stone had to say: ...

Quote For The Day
The Daily Dish | By Andrew Sullivan —
... marriage is a fundamental right bundled up in our notion of what freedom is, even if it took a Supreme Court decision to make it so, but everyone does not have the right to enter into a union of his or her choice. Therefore, Republicans cannot take shelter in states’ rights and plausibly contend that freedom means freedom for all. If we want freedom for all, we must be prepared to grant equality to homosexuals as a constitutional imperative. The Republic will still stand," - Roger Stone, Republican macher. ...
The NEW Sarah Palin: Palin’s Plan
FullosseousFlap's Dental Blog —
... Roger Stone, politico and adviser extraordinaire has it RIGHT about Sarah Palin.
Like Nixon, Palin needs some rehabilitation to her political image caused by the relentless attacks of the elitist media, the knife-work of the relatively talentless Republican Party pros like Steve Schmidt and her own self-inflicted wounds from the post election period that were born out of inexperience at this level of political combat.
