CNN poll awards win to Obama
The Swamp — ... can be reasonably concluded, especially after accounting for the slight Democratic bias in the survey, that we witnessed a tie in Mississippi tonight," CNN Senior Political Researcher Alan Silverleib said. "But given the direction of the campaign over the last couple of weeks, a tie translates to a win for Obama." McCain apparently failed to get the "game changer" he needed to reverse his deficit in the polls, Silverleib said. Read about the poll here.

Of the debate-watchers questioned in this poll, 41 percent of the respondents identified themselves as Democrats, 27 percent as Republicans and 30 percent as independents. I’m far from being a polling expert, but this is ...

Obama Campaign Lies About Post-Debate Poll in Order to Claim Victory
RedState: Conservative News and Community — ... the change we need. Barack broke through last night with voters who were watching -- but we need to get the word out to the millions who didn't tune in. Those numbers look very good for the Obama campaign and very poor for John McCain -- that is, until you look at the actual CNN report on its own poll, which shows that the entire statement above from Barack Obama's campaign manager is pretty much one big lie. From the CNN report on its own poll: The CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey is not a ...

Paul Jenkins: John McCain: Unfit for the Presidency
Politics on HuffingtonPost.com — ... but, again, it speaks to his lack of judgment. Another poor choice in this respect was his gnarling, patronizing, primeval bearing at the debate. He cannot help that he is a conservative old white man in a year when that is not necessarily an advantage, but he could keep the grumpiness and sinister "smile" in check. Perhaps he calculated that white voters would not find his condescension towards the smarter, younger, black man next to him unbearable. But somehow many did, women even more so than men, abruptly reminded of the belittling behavior of so many men not unlike McCain. ...
