I just watched the CNN interview of Sally Quinn...confirming that S. Quinn is an idiot. I cannot believe the sexist and biased commentary she spouted. Unbelievable. I have no intention of voting for McCain, but Palin doesn't deserve to have Sally Quinn sitting in judgement of her as a mother, wife or candidate. Shuttup Sally, you are embarrassing women everywhere.

Infanticide-Loving Feminists Against Palin Because She Should Be Home with the Kids
Hit & Run — ... Palin in a position that is a heartbeat away from the pesidency? If anything, the Palin pick throws the experience question directly into the minds of voters at Obama's and the Democrats' expense. He and Palin are the same age; they both have relatively the same level of experience (which in the end really probably doesn't dictate presidential success in any case). And Obama is actually running for president, so his experience level is clearly more relevant. More here. ...

Sally Quinn: Palin Got the Job Because She’s a Woman
Patterico's Pontifications — It’s dripping with sexism, but it’s OK because the author is a woman: Is she prepared for the all-consuming nature of the job? She is the mother of five children, one of them a four-month-old with Down Syndrome. Her first priority has to be her children. When the phone rings at three in the morning and one of her children is really sick what choice will she make? . . .. A mother’s role is different from a father’s. There’s lots more like that. I find myself, oddly, agreeing with lefty blogger ...

I Wonder...
Swampland — Would Sally Quinn write this if the candidate in question were the father, not the mother?: Not only do we have a woman with five children, including an infant with special needs, but a woman whose 17-year-old child will need her even more in the coming months. Not to mention the grandchild. This would inevitably be an enormous distraction for a new vice president (or president) in a time of global turmoil. Not only in terms of her job, but from a media standpoint as well.

Required Reading: The WaPo Understands Evangelicals!
Weekly Standard BlogFrom the Washington Post, “Palin’s Pregnancy Problem” by Sally Quinn Behold the logical train wrecks and serial cheap-shots that ensue when big media types pretend to try to understand the Evangelical community: And now we learn the 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is pregnant. She and the father of the child plan to marry. This may be a hard one for the Republican conservative family-values crowd to swallow. Of course, this can happen in any family. But it must certainly raise the question among the evangelical base about whether Sarah ...

The Great Democratic Temper Tantrum Over Sarah Palin
All articles at Blogcritics — ... s about Sarah Palin, it is amusing. Liberals are showing just how absolutely insane they can be when their bluff is called. Now that Sarah Palin is doing all the right things (in the Democratic playbook, previous edition) they have changed the rules in the middle of the game. They are backing down on the experience thing. Their bluff has been called on the Daily Kos Creepiness about Tig belonging to Bristol. Sarah Palin should stay home and take care of her kids. Sally Quinn doesn t think she s up to it. But then, if Sarah Palin were a liberal, I gather she would be a ...

Her Turn
Jules Crittenden — ... : Palin slashed funding for teen moms. Not a peep on what the increase was, what the money was actually for, what else she might have slashed, whether the program is actually worth a damn or well managed, or anything else resembling context. Maybe it was the horrible, meanspirited act of a hypocritical pol, but with no indication anyone bothered to ask any of those questions, who knows? A little shoddy. Then there’s the rampant lefty sexism . Even some of my own pals ...

David Gregory Wrongly Says Media Have Not Questioned Palin as Unfit Mother
NewsBusters.org - Exposing Liberal Media Bias — ... Also on August 29, the Washington Post's Sally Quinn whined in a column, "Is she prepared for the all-consuming nature of the job?...Her first priority has to be her children. When the phone rings at three in the morning and one of her children is really sick what choice will she make?" Not only have members of the media discussed this subject, they've done so repeatedly and with great enthusiasm. So, is David Gregory somehow unaware of this fact or was he simply being disingenuous? ...

If I were supporting Obama....
The Volokh Conspiracy — here are three things I'd keep quiet about with regard to Sarah Palin. (1) How can she do her job as vice-president and take care of her kids? Which leads to the question, how can Obama do the much more demanding job of president and take care of his kids? (2) ...

Sally Quinn Too Smooth For Bill O'Reilly's Nonsense
News Hounds — ... Tonight Bill O'Reilly wanted Sally Quinn to defend her recent article about Sarah Palin in Newsweek but Quinn had no intention of letting BOR put her in a defensive posture. Quinn not only stood by what she wrote, she reinforced it with both reason and grace and O'Reilly eventually responded with civility. However, he wasn't exactly civil during a "poor Palin" duet with Laura Ingraham, on Monday, over what he considered unfair criticism by Quinn and Maureen Dowd. Trying to be cute he quipped that they should take a hunting trip in Alaska. ...

Sarah's Surly 'Sisters'
American Thinker — ... Reimer's insulted that McCain just put "a skirt on the ticket." He chose "a running mate with a Down syndrome child" in order "to look good to evangelicals." It just boggles the mindless. How can a pro-life, evangelical, gun-totin' "beauty queen" with five kids and great legs qualify for anything but a bit part in "The Dukes of Hazzard"? Sally Quinn of The Washington Post blogs on Newsweek about, "Palin's Pregnancy Problem" . What is it with libs' obsession with pregnancy as a "problem"? What they don't get is that most Americans don't think of a baby as ...

Apologies From The MSM Over Palin
Flopping Aces — ... First Sally Quinn from Newsweekdemeaned women with this diatribe: From what little we know about her, she seems to be a bright, attractive, impressive person. She certainly has been successful in her 44 years. But is she ready to be president? And now we learn the 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is pregnant. She and the father of the child plan to marry. This may be a hard one for the Republican conservative family-values crowd to swallow. Of course, this can happen in any family. SallyQuinn.jpg Sally Quinn of the Washington Post is on record as doubting Sarah Palin's ability to be a good mother and hold the office of Vice President. "Is she prepared for the all-consuming nature of the job? She is the mother of five children, one of them a four-month-old with Down Syndrome. Her first priority has to be her children. Fred Thompson vs. "Aging Washington socialites"
Anne Schroeder's Blog — ... has written a pro-Palin missive for Townhall.com today, underscoring her credentials and overall readyiness to be Veep. Blah, blah. In it, however, he throws a mighty punch:   "Here was a woman who chose to have children and a career. Aging Washington socialites weighed in with newly discovered sensitivity for mothers with careers outside the home."   Ooh, did he just refer to Washington's #1 doyenne Sally Quinn as.... "aging?"
