Palin does SNL
Ben Smith's Blog — News-free, but funny, and carried off very well by the candidate. JMart writeup here. Huffington Post has the video, and a more robust view of fair use than Google. A reader notes the most striking feature: The Obama ads in the breaks pounding McCain. One is a new one focused on women's issues. The other nicely dovetails with Tina Fey's riff on angry McCain.

'You Are Way Hotter in Person'

A Unmitigated Liability
The Anonymous Liberal — Watching Sarah Palin on SNL last night, it was hard not to reflect on the absurdity of her candidacy.  In the opening skit, Palin (played by Tina Fey) was giving her first press conference, something that has yet to happen in real life.  At the end of the skit, Palin herself came out and replaced Fey on the stage.  She turned to the camera and said "no, I'm not going to take any of your questions" and then delivered the show's famous tagline opening: "live from New York it's Saturday night!"  ...
