I listen to promo the sports radio's coverage of the inauguration by saying they were going to discuss the role of sports in leading to today, "possibly the most important day in American history." And of course Spike Lee is out there saying the same thing and saying that God ordained the financial crisis. While I think the inauguration of the first African American president is quite a notable day in American history, it is nowhere near the most important. I'm not sure which day I'd point to. The adoption of the Declaration of Independence or ratification of the Constitution ...
