Didn’t we just go through a mortgage meltdown because government forced mortgage companies to loan to people regardless of their credit status? It looks like Illinois learned nothing from that experience:

This reminds me of my favorite John L. Lewis anecdote. Lewis was the larger than life union leader who founded the United Mine Workers and the CIO.
