The wire service initially declared Coleman the winner, but then pulled back its decision and noted that Coleman's current lead is small enough to set off a state-wide recount. Coleman leads by 762 votes out of 2.9 million cast. Both candidates received 42 percent of the vote while former Sen. Dean Barkley (I) received 15 percent. The recount isn't expected to start until mid-November, according to Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie.
