picasso I think the real problem is that she apparently believes Creation Science has validity as a scientific theory. A basic underlying hypothesis of Creation Science is that the earth is 6,000 years. Over 400 years of scientific research, i.e. the science of Geology, disproved this hypothesis 100s of years ago, and all evidence since then further confirms this hypothesis is bogus. That she still sees it as a valid scientific theory suggests she either lacks basic critical thinking skills or knows better and chooses to pander.
Palin Has Not Pushed Creationism As Governor
Little Green Footballs —
... Sarah Palin is that she is in favor of teaching creationism in public school science classes, but as I pointed out last week this simply isn’t true. Apparently, she has a rather confused attitude toward evolution (an attitude she shares with about 50% of the US population), but when asked explicitly whether she would support teaching the pseudo-science of “intelligent design,” her answer was “No.” And today even the Associated Press has to admit that PPalin has not pushed ...

September 03, 2008 Another Palin Lie Dies No, Virginia, Palin did NOT "push creationism" to be taught in schools. In a subsequent interview with the Daily News, Palin said discussion of alternative views on the origins of life should be allowed in Alaska classrooms. " I don't think there should be a prohibition against debate if it comes up in class. It doesn't have to be part of the curriculum, " she said. Expect dipsh*t Obama sycophants reporters to keep asking about this despite it having been refuted BY THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Moar: Neither have Palin's socially conservative ...
On Science Education, Will Palin Follow in Her Father’s Footsteps?
Congress Blog —
As an active participant in the Pentecostal Assemblies of God and the daughter of a science teacher, Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has a unique perspective on how religious ideology and scientific accuracy should or shouldn’t mix in public schools. So far, it seems, she’s siding with her father on the question of creationism. In 2006, Ms. Palin was asked during a gubernatorial debate whether teaching creationism in public schools was good for students. Her answer was the typical biblical-nose-in-the-public-schools-tent response: “teach both.” Parents and teachers ...

... ] There's a lot of mis-information out there. Here's a good AP report (h/t Ross): As for her personal views on evolution, Palin has said, "I believe we have a creator." But she has not made clear whether her belief also allowed her to accept the theory of evolution as fact."I'm not going to pretend I know how all this came to be," she has been quoted as saying... Palin said during her 2006 gubernatorial campaign that if she were elected, she would not push the state Board of Education to add creation-based alternatives to the state's required curriculum, or look for ...

Palin on Creationism.
The Volokh Conspiracy —
... tell us how these worlds came into being in the first place. For example, it would be contrary to prevailing views of modern science to believe that evolution did not occur; it would not be contrary to modern science to believe that God started the Big Bang, though that belief would not usually be thought of as based on science. A sort of middle ground would be occupied by the large numbers of Americans who believe that evolution occurred, but that God guided it. John McCain's comments supporting evolution were followed by this ambiguous statement hinting that he believed ...

In fact, had Dr Cole bothered to do a quick Google search, he’d have doubtless stumpled across this from the AP: Palin said during her 2006 gubernatorial campaign that if she were elected, ...
