With President-elect Obama apparently not willing to play ball with Gov. Rod Blagojevich over the Senate seat vacancy, today's indictment suggests at least one public official was willing to "pay to play." Blagojevich is quoted: "That, you know, he'd raise me 500
grand. An emissary came. Then the other guy would raise a million, if I
made him (Senate Candidate 5) a Senator." Based on the timing, Rich Miller thinks Senate Candidate 5 is either state Senate President Emil Jones or Rep. Jesse Jackson (D-IL).
