ErnestR The shooter, Jordanian-born Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan, was an army psychiatrist who was stressed because he was about to be deployed to the Middle East. There is a good chance he was on anti-depressants for stress. If so, then this is similar to Columbine and most school murder/suicides and the recent epidemic of soldier on soldier killings and suicides commited by people on these drugs. Amazing how the psychiatry, mental health treatment and anti-depressants link is always there (Columbine, Virginia Tech, Red Lake, Fort Campbell, (and maybe Fort Hood). Over 15% of our military is on drugs known to cause suicide and violence. It's early in the investigation but this is something to consider. Toxicology results might confirm it if the Coroner tests for the presence of these drugs.

Evidently a convert to Islam, and an apparent jihad attack has taken place at Ft. Hood.
[Robert here:] Twelve dead, thirty wounded in what was apparently an attack coordinated between two or three gunmen -- belying the post-traumatic stress syndrome spin playing out in the mainstream media.
If this turns out to be a jihad attack, watch for the President to caution against "backlash" and "Islamophobia."
