Do you like video games? Personally, I don't, but this one is pretty fun. The Alliance for Worker Freedom has created a new game, 'Card Checked'. In the game, you're a talented young tattoo artist who's just been employeed by a local tatoo parlor. Congress passes Card Check and the president signs it into law. You now have to publicly declare whether you think the parlor should unionize. What will you do? What will happen? Click here to play and find out!

... Two business groups, Alliance for Worker Freedom (AWF) and Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), have released a web video game illustrating potential negative effects in the workplace should card check legislation become law. The game, which is entitled " Card Checked ," takes place in a stylized setting after the passage of the Employee Free Choice Act. The player encounters several scenarios as an employee of a tattoo parlor. The fictional International Body Art Designers Union is trying to unionize the parlor using strong-armed tactics. ... , which can be found online here, I got really excited. Perhaps I'd finally be able to give Norquist the Don't Tread on Me tat I've long thought would go so well with his signature beard and glasses. But my hopes were quickly dashed. Turns out there isn't any tattooing to be done in the game, which in truth, is hardly a game at all. Instead, it's a series of comic stills and scripted choices that take you through the process of unionization under card check. ...
Jillian Bandes: Play "Card Checked: The Game"

It's a little cheesy, but downright brilliant in terms of introducing a some fun into a wonky cause. Americans for Tax Reform came up with an interactive slide show called "Card Checked: The Game," where you play the role of a talented tattoo artist at a shop that's being infiltrated by union activists. If you keep refusing to join the union, your car gets smashed, you're scared to drink at your local haunts, and you start using sharpies instead of tattoo pen to do your work. Definitely worth 5 minutes of your time.
