Flashback: The obligatory “I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do” clip posted at 6:18 pm on August 23, 2008 by Allahpundit Send to a Friend | printer-friendly “There’s a bit of C-SPAN tape that should surface quickly if he’s named,” predicted Kaus two days ago, and now — courtesy of C-SPAN, no less — here it is. Read Ed’s post from Thursday before you click or you won’t recognize the various lies as they whiz past. Having now watched it, I’m surprised it caused him such grief at the time: While the sentiment is nasty, his demeanor isn’t, and the guy it’s directed at seems to take it in good enough humor. Egotistical, ...

Biden's "I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do" rant ends with by a plea for a Democratic leader with oratorical powers.
Althouse —
We were watching a brief clip yesterday, but here's the longer version, courtesy of Hot Air. Watch the whole thing. A man named Frank asks a question about law school credentials that sets Biden off. Biden spews a list of claimed achievements — some of which turn out to be false — and — this is I want to focus on — concludes with a windy oration about how what this country needs is a Democrat with great powers of oration. I'm picturing the young Barack Obama, watching this on C-Span and a light bulb goes on over his head: Here's the text of that last ...
Biden - Plagiarism And Prevarication You Can Believe In
RedState: Conservative News and Community —
I've never had much use for Joe Biden. I simply can't get past
Biden's plagiarism
and Biden's portrayal of his academic record which you can see in
the following video:
Four of the boasts Biden made about his academic record are
false:
Full Academic Scholarship - Biden actually
received a partial scholarship from the university based on
financial need.
Top Half of His Class - Biden finished 76th in
his law class of 85.
Graduated With Three Degrees - Biden received a
single degree, from the ...
The Three "B's" Of Joe Biden
Wizbang —
Over the weekend, I found myself slightly miffed at my colleague Lorie Byrd. On Saturday, she wrote a piece about a certain video featuring Joe Biden about 20 years ago. I had planned on writing about it Sunday morning, and felt a certain sense of proprietary interest -- after all, it had been shot in Claremont, New Hampshire, and I feel like I should have "first dibs" on any New Hampshire stories. Anyway, Lorie did her usual superb job, and my idea set aside. But not for long. There is a wealth of information to be gleaned from that short video clip about the man who wishes to be one heartbeat from the presidency, and I think that I can mine even more ...
Biden and Iran
The Corner on National Review Online —
Tuesday, August 26, 2008 [image] Biden and Iran [ Yuval Levin ] Michael Rubin s op-ed on Joe Biden and Iran today is an important eye-opener. It also brings to mind a scene from a profile of Biden that Michael Crowley did for the New Republic shortly after September 11th. The entire profile is pretty damning. The exchange at the beginning, where Biden badgers some pilots and flight attendants who have come to seek support for emergency benefits and tells them they have to back his funding for Amtrak (his taxpayer-subsidized ride home every night) or else he ll screw their efforts, is reminiscent of his famous my IQ is higher than ...

Joe Biden: The Michael Scott of American Politics
Sound Politics —
Joe Biden: The Michael Scott of American Politics [image] Steve Carrell as Michael Scott in NBC's The Office Just think about it. They're both from Scranton, Pennsylvania They've both spent their entire careers in only one job -- Scott at Dunder-Mifflin, Biden in the U.S. Senate. They're both narcissistic, longwinded, thin-skinned , given to inflate their own importance and accomplishments , and have an uncanny knack for putting their feet in their mouths . And this dialogue seems like it could only have been written for Michael Scott, but alas it wasn't. Posted by Stefan Sharkansky at August 30, 2008 03:02 PM | ...
Is Joe Biden trying to sabotage Obama?
Roger L. Simon —
I don’t know if it’s conscious or unconscious, but it sure seems that way. First there’s the flip-flop on AIG, which seems to have caught his running mate’s attention, and now there’s the senior moment of senior moments, implying FDR was President when the stock market crashed in ‘29 and went on television (???) to calm the public. [I thought McCain was the geezer candidate.-ed. It’s all in the mind… or mind-less.] If Palin had said something like that, the MSM would have sent her back to Alaska and frozen her in an iceberg with the wooly mammoths.
So what’s going on here? ...

Brit Finds Biden Wisdom Lacking While USA Media Keeps Slamming Palin
NewsBusters.org - Exposing Liberal Media Bias —
What is it with the American mainstream media when we have to turn to Britain to get a more accurate analysis of our political scene than we can get here? First we had my previous post in which the UK Times provided a much better analysis of how Nancy Pelosi's partisan rant caused the bailout bill to fail in Congress while the New York Times basically provided cover for the House Speaker. And now we have this column by Dominic Lawson in the UK Independent that gives us a clear picture of how utterly unqualified Joe Biden is to become vice-president. Yes, while the Amercan MSM remains obsessed with pointing out how Sarah Palin might not be ...
McCain Web Video Attacks Biden As Gaffe Machine
Political Punch —
Previous | Main McCain Web Video Attacks Biden As Gaffe Machine October 02, 2008 2:44 PM It's been said up here on Capitol Hill that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., picked the only vice presidential nominee who could lose a debate to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. I don't know that that's a fair charge, but it does get at the Democratic jitters up here about the senator's propensity to open mouth, insert foot. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., launched a web video today called "Embarrass" that assails his Senate colleague and (now erstwhile?) pal Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., as a embarrassing gaffe-machine. The video for the most part hews to legitimately cringe-inducing ...

If Joe Biden didn't exist, we would have to invent him : Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions. "Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said ...
