Hey, everybody! You all remember Damon Weaver? He's the ten-year old kid from Kathryn E. Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary in Florida who interviewed then-Senator Joe Biden during the campaign, heroically holding his microphone aloft as Biden yammered on and on, without stop, for a million hours. One of the realities that journalists hoping to cover the inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama are confronting is that there isn't going to be enough room for all of them, because Washington, DC will instead be filled by four million people and their terrible, hulking tour buses. The Politico's Sarah Abruzzese, noting that journalists are just not being laid off fast enough to avert this crisis, reports that the bad news shall be handed down to hopeful journalists very soon:

I watched the entire video plea by 10-year-old aspiring reporter, Damon Weaver, asking the President-elect for a brief interview during Inauguration week.
And I'm surprised the Obama Administration made the boneheaded decision not to give oress credentials to this cute, smart boy. That's not to mention that this is a young Black kid, for whom Obama--we are told--is supposed to be a role model.
Yes, it's hard to understand some of what he's saying, but remember, he's only ten.
