Really? Another Reverend Wright Story?
The Latest on Air America — As I usually enjoy ABC's investigative reporter, Brian Ross' reporting, I was highly disappointed with his report this morning. Ross reported on an unaired campaign commercial from McCain's camp, that uses Reverend Wright as a line of attack. The commercial was never used because John McCain told him campaign not to air it(what a maverick). I hope Brian Ross redeems himself in his next report. Brian, you're better then this.

ABC shows unused Rev. Wright ad
The Swamp — by James Oliphant ABC's Brian Ross has gotten a hold of a campaign ad that Sen. John McCain refused to air that involves the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, President-elect Barack Obama's former pastor. As McCain's prospects turned increasingly bleak prior to the election, many in the GOP were clamoring that such a weapon be deployed. It apparently got off the drawing board.

The Wrong Ads and the Wright One
FiveThirtyEight: Politics Done Right — At the Dole Institute panel last week, I got into an extended discussion with Sarah Simmons and Christian Ferry, the gracious and sporting McCain senior staffers present, about the wisdom or lack thereof of McCain's messaging strategy. My point, which I might or might not have articulated very well, was that maintaining the strength of the McCain brand -- and particularly, maintaining the differentiation between the McCain brand and the Republican brand -- was an essential component of any winning strategy. This is the same point that I tried to make in the Los Angeles Times in August, at which time McCain was polling within the margin of error ...

Tammy Bruce — **This post will be updated throughout the show** Sources Say Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. Is 'Senate Candidate No. 5' Here's ABC's segment regarding the unused McCain ad focusing on Jeremiah "G-Damn America" Wright. One ABC talking head actually praises McCain for not running the spot. Yeah, because McCain's bizarre reticence gave Obama the White House. The McCain team is still essentially apologizing for even considering dealing with the character issue. No wonder the man lost. Dianne "Corelone" Feinstein and Bob Bennett don't ...
