fredam55 Listening to this teacher defend herself after she clearly hurt this child shows she doesn't get it. Her STRONG influence for Her presential choice caused the other children to react with their snickering and laughing in the background. Shame on her for belittling this child in the classroom saying her father will be Iraq another hundred years. This child like so many other proud military children understand the sacrifices their loved ones are making for our COUNTRY. It's a sad day in AMERICA because some have forgot or choose to forget the day of 9-11. We all had mixed feelings that day of fear and retaliation. But how many of us actually chose to do something? Bless our military and especially the children that have to endure hurtful words like this. -
woods Unbelievable. If she is belittling this child with the camera on...imagine what she says when the camera is off. Her comments also led the other students to belittle this student which was very evident in the video. Why? She is obviously taking her frustrations out on a student that is voicing her opinion. I never tell my students how I vote, I allow them to research both candidates and decide for themselves. I celebrate their choices to educate and decide for themselves. -
highfade85 I couldn't feel more sorry for that little girl. This teacher should be fired for harassing a student. I'm going to find out what school district in NC she works for and call its administrators. This is the most un-american thing, other than electing Obama as president, that I have seen in a long time. Totally unacceptable. This teacher is an embarrassment to her profession, and also a bully of the worst kind. The little girl should have told Ms. Bully that it was none of ner business why she was for Mccain, and the only reason Ms. Bully can teach in a public school was because her Daddy was protecting this country, and her school. This sickens me to the soul, but I have great compassion for that little girl, she showed great humility to say she wasn't with the majority of america. Narrow is the road that leads to righteousness, broad is the one that leads to destruction. This little girl inspires me, and this teacher repulses me.

Teacher Diantha Harris browbeats McCain supporting student, Kathy,in Ashville N.Carolina grade school. The poor girl is obviously distressed over the teacher’s line of questiong and belittling her choice of candidate in front of her school mates.
Note the use of vague promises of “change”, and abusing the “100 more years of Iraq war” to McCain when addressing the military daughter/student. Also, that the war was “senseless”.
