Amanda Carpenter: Carville Picks Up on Obama's Small Town Talking Point
Townhall.com Blog's TownHall Blog — Democratic guru James Carville unsuccessfully tried to slam Governor Palin for lack of experience on CNN this morning by holding up a photo of a Wasilla town hall center. This is right in line with the first response the Obama campaign released that tried to label Palin as nothing more than a small-town mayor. Unfortunately for Carville, he couldn't break through the Hurricane Gustav graphic.

Another Day at the Office for the Democrat Attack Machine
RedState: Conservative News and Community — As Hurricane Gustav is ravaging the coast of the Louisiana and the news media is breathlessly reporting flooding in the 9th Ward of New Orleans, exactly how are politicos responding? John McCain has ordered all negative statements about the Obama campaign stripped from the speeches at the convention. Tom Daschle is out attacking Sarah Palin saying she has "no experienced" and "are we ready . . . to place our future in her hands as commander in chief and our premier negotiator with other world leaders?" Someone should ask him about that regarding Barack Obama. James Carville is on television attacking small town ...

 It's The Qualifications, StupidDaily Kos
Sometimes James Carville does things that drive progressives mad. Yesterday on Larry King Live, he did us all proud. He had the good fortune of drawing Michelle Bachmann as a debate opponent (with Stephanie Miller as an ally). This is rather like pitting Chuck Liddell against an inflatable ...
David Quigg: Forgetting Sarah PalinPolitics on HuffingtonPost.com
Reckless. That's the word I keep hearing from the TV pundits about John McCain's decision to pick someone he'd met just once to be his VP. James Carville, looking slack-faced and sincere for once, said he's just plain "vexed" trying make sense of it. Paul Begala said he wouldn't even make ...

Alter Hints Carville Chilly to Obama for the MoneyNewsBusters.org - Exposing Liberal Media Bias
Jonathan Alter has had enough of James Carville not being a team player and boosting Sen. Barack Obama and he has a working theory that centers around a cynical, quasi-conspiratorial view of the Carville-Matalin marriage. From an August 27 Stumper blog post at the Newsweek Web site. John McCain is the least popular person at the Democratic convention. But if bad-mouthing by Obama forces ...

This is a repost of what I wrote here in TPM in 2006. I just came across a troubling incident that Bob Woodward reports in his new book. Very troubling. On page 344, Woodward describes the doings at the White House in the early morning hours of Wednesday, the day after the '04 election. The Bushies were worried that Kerry would dig in and fight. They needed the election wrapped up.  ...

I guess Mr. Carville's true colors (and one has to say they are very pale colors indeed0 are showing. I have little respect left for Mr. Carville after the last few years of seeing him morph into a cartoon caricature of a human being, but his "critique" of the Democratic Convention;s first night hits a new low, even for him. Jim Carville Gets ItCalifornia Conservative
For once, I think that pit bull extraordinaire James Carville gets it. The truth is that he might’ve swerved into the truth last night . I concede that I’ve only heard about it second hand, but apparently James Carville bitched and moaned on CNN about the convention tonight because I guess they didn’t go after McCain enough.
