Rumors fly of possible Palin embezzlement indictment
AMERICAblog News| A great nation deserves the truth — Raw Story has a summary of the reporting on this. There is simply no way that the GOP frontrunner for president is suddenly announcing her resignation, late on a Friday, the day before a major holiday - the traditional times to dump damaging information - if someone didn't confront her with devastating information. So an indictment sounds possible. Though, Palin doesn't strike me as the type to give up and resign simply because someone's coming after her. The information must be devastating and conclusive. Wonder if Palin's been to Argentina lately? :-) Actually, I was talking to Jane Hamsher this morning on our little puddle jumper out of the island of ...

The Political Carnival — Wow, this spokesperson is just as incoherent as Palin. h/t John. Love the faces Anderson.

Stupid Is As Stupid Does
Balloon Juice — The vindication of Steve Schmidt continues in earnest. Here he was last year, dealing with the drama queen: “Secession,” he wrote. “It is their entire reason for existence. A cursory examination of the website shows that the party exists for the purpose of seceding from the union. That is the stated goal on the front page of the web site. The innaccuracy would bring greater media attention to this matter and be a distraction. According to your ...

Sarah Palin is Like a Box of Ex-Lax
David E's Fablog — by David E | (Visited 12 times) S&C Asshat weighs in on The Chilla From Wasilla :“She should have said no.” Ya Think? But wouldn’t that meant she’d have had to give back the penmanship medal?“If Sarah Palin’s political career ended last Friday, 10 tumultuous months after she was introduced as the Republican Party’s vice-presidential nominee, those five words will be its epitaph. Had she refused John McCain, Palin would still be a popular female governor in a Republican Party starved for future stars. Her scandals would be the stuff of local politics, her daughter’s pregnancy a minor story in the Lower 48, her son Trig’s parentage a nonissue even for ...

Committing Journalism
The Daily Dish | By Andrew Sullivan — Anderson Cooper tries to make sense of Meg Stapleton's batshit spin: None of it makes sense, Anderson. And the MSM has a policy of not asking the questions we now need asked. ...

Attention whore gets what she asked for
WTF Is It Now?!? — But not in a good way -- "Palin's had a rough 2009 thus far, drawing headlines often more suitable for Britney Spears than for a serious politician and gracing the covers of more tabloids than news magazines." The postergirl for the terminally stupid, after appearing on every talk show known to man, blames "the media" for covering her. ...
