Why aren't more people saying this, loudly! Come on people, let's look at the big picture. Do we want someone with even less experience than George W running the white house? Maybe McCain will stay healthy as a horse for 4 years, but if not, be realistic about Palin's limitations. We already are the laughing stock of global politics, let's not make it worse.

In scanning the net from across the Atlantic, it is apparent that the McCain Palin haters are running scared.  It is apparent in the way some lib celebs react with such open disdain to the mention of Palin that Palin is a perceived formidable

I don't like it when my team is losing, but they act like spoiled brats who don't care about the cold hard facts; they just want their way and they want it now.

Sarah Palin 'Terrifies' Empty-Headed Actor Matt Damon
JammieWearingFool — Wow, is this guy an imbecile or what? Watch as he reads the scripted cue cards some Obamaton wrote up for him. I have but three words of advice for Damon and his ilk: Just keep talking. I think his puppet character in Team America, World Police was smarter than the real thing. Labels: Barack Obama ...

Important: Matt Damon horrified by Palin
Hot Air » Top Picks — Important: Matt Damon horrified by Palin posted at 3:05 pm on September 10, 2008 by Allahpundit Send to a Friend | printer-friendly We cannot afford the possibility of an Alaska hockey mom with no experience having to face down Vladimir Putin, which is why we must elect an Illinois suburban dad with no experience who’ll definitely and immediately have to face him down. Who’s already embarrassed himself with the weakness of his response to Putin’s incursion into Georgia. The odds he gives for McCain surviving his first term are also off , of course. Exit question: He sneers that Palin was picked for “political ...

Matt Damon Agrees with Lincoln Chafee
The Washington Note — It's clear that Matt Damon agrees with former Senator (and former Republican) Lincoln Chafee who said this about Palin: I do think she is dangerous for the future of the country having such limited experience and sharing that aggressive, belligerent approach to the world. That's not in our long term best interests. It's a dangerous planet -- nuclear weapons -- a tremendous capacity of destruction exists. It's going to take some wisdom and ability to see gray sometimes, and lessons of the Cold War are that sometimes containment can work. ...

(He also has some thoughts on the backdrop and my makeup. For the record, I wasn't wearing, nor have I ever worn, lipstick.) * The Pentagon conceded today that the Bush administration policy in Afghanistan isn't working . * McCain/Palin is, even now, lying about the Bridge to Nowhere. * Newsweek is moving the ball forward on Palin's "troopergate" scandal. * The controversy over Palin's per diems gets a little worse , and a ...

Matt Damon - The Bourne Insanity
Stop The ACLU — Jason Bourne is a fictional character in novels written by Robert Ludlum. During a mission Bourne, a CIA agent, is shot in the head and suffers amnesia. Matt Damon portrayed Bourne in the movie version of the novels and did a remarkable job with the character. Unfortunately, it would seem that Matt Damon has trouble with his brain in real life. He was interviewed and gave his impression of Sarah Palin. Damon stated that the selection of Palin worried him. He stated that he wanted to know if she wanted to ban books and why. That Democratic rumor has been disproved but there are still those who are unable to see the truth. Damon also wanted to ...

Still more Palin/Obama stuff
Jim Treacher's Blog That Is on the Internet — Remember that Sherlock Holmes story about the dog that didn't bark? How about the Sharpton who didn't race-bait? Matt Damon on McCain's VP pick
culturekitchen - fresh dissent served daily — Matt Damon tells it like it is : "I really need to know if she believes dinosaurs were around 4,000 years ago ... that's an important ... I want to know that. I really do because she's going to have the nuclear codes..." in the event John McCain becomes another "actuary statistic" and doesn't live to see the end of his first term as President Of the United States. Shout out to Oh No They Didn't.

Matt Damon, Genius
Ace of Spades HQ — Matt Damon, Genius Matt Damon wants to know if Sarah Palin believed dinosaurs lived 4000 years ago. The source for this absurd claim? This. An utterly absurd viral email, supposedly containing "real quotes" from an Anchorage newspaper... but notice -- No links! No actual citation to anything appearing in real newspaper! Also noted these quotes are positively absurd. I believe they were first written as a pure parody (dinosaurs are... "lizards of Satan"? Really?), but of course the reality-based community adherents of the community-based reality has accepted them uncritically as "real." How absurd is this? Do these ...

Patterico's Pontifications — Ace says Matt Damon is a moron. Well, yeah. But so is Maureen Dowd. First, read Ace on Matt Damon. I want to know if she really thinks dinosaurs were here 4000 years ago.” Ace notes the source for this ridiculous and debunked claim: an idiot unsourced viral e-mail that is an ...

Open Left - Front Page — Eating Liberally Food For Thought by Kerry Trueman For nearly two weeks now, I've been suffering from a newly-minted malady called Palin-paralysis--a nasty tv-transmitted virus I caught after watching Sarah Palin's divisive and derisive acceptance speech. You know, that salute to "small town values" that lionized plucky, scrappy hockey moms and demonized yucky, crappy community organizers. The primary symptoms are nausea, a perpetually clenched jaw, and a half-baked Alaska-induced brain freeze; can't get out of bed, can't blog, can't even blog in bed. The ...

Cinematic Nightmares
Firedoglake — Matt Damon's comment that Sarah Palin as the Republican nominee for vice president could end up "like a really bad Disney movie,” inspired the very witty Walt Disney Presents: The Sarah Palin Story from the clever minxes at Jezebel.com Commenting on Palin as McCain’s successor, Damon remarked, “It’s like a really bad Disney movie, ‘The Hockey Mom.’ Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska and she’s president,” said Damon. “She’s facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. It's absurd.” But that's not the only plot Palin brings to ...

Election 2008: Hollywood Redux
American Thinker — The ever-classy Pamela Anderson -- known for her breast implants and sexcapades with former husband Tommy Lee -- eloquently stated that Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin can "suck it." Expat Madonna, who's looking scarier and scarier these days, played to anti-American sentiments overseas by comparing John McCain to Hitler and Robert Mugabe in a pictorial during a recent concert in Cardiff. Celebutante gadfly Lindsay Lohan unloaded on Palin on her MySpace page. Matt "I'm not a genius but I played one in the movies" Damon used a debunked myth about Palin's religious beliefs in what he expected the ...

The fourth-branch question
Political Animal — THE FOURTH-BRANCH QUESTION.... Actor Matt Damon recently said he wants Sarah Palin to answer a couple of basic questions, including whether she believes dinosaurs walked the earth 4,000 years ago, and whether she tried to ban books from her local library as mayor. Those aren't bad questions at all, but given recent history, I'd also like to know if she considers the Office of the Vice President part of the Executive Branch of the federal government. The Hill asked both Biden and Palin aides this fairly straightforward question. The Democrat didn't hesitate to offer a direct response. The Republican? Not so much . "Unlike ...

Vanessa Richmond: Tina Fey for Vice President
Politics on HuffingtonPost.com — I'm so depressed about Sarah Palin. Fighting against what she stands for and what makes her popular seems like a David versus Goliath battle, only more mismatched. This weekend, when Tina Fey and Amy Poehler opened the season of Saturday Night Live with their electric impersonations of Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton, I was initially among those who found the sketch hilarious but depressing. It's kind of funny that Fey's Palin says global warming is just "God huggin' us closer," for example. Kind of. If it weren't for the fact that famous and ...

Media Finally Catches Up With Matt Damon
JammieWearingFool — Earlier this month renowned political genius Matt Damon treated us to his incisive wisdom on the selection of John McCain, acting "terrified" at the prospect of McCain dropping dead and the novice mayor of a small town walking around with a gaggle of rugrats and the nuclear codes. As evidence to buttress his fears, Damon cited actuarial tables as evidence McCain was practically a goner. Well, we've been waiting patiently, but finally the media has caught up with the program. If John McCain is elected and goes on to win a second term, there's as much as a one-in-four chance America could see its first woman president — Sarah ...
