NRSC ad assumes Obama win
Ben Smith's Blog —
The underlying premise of this new ad from the National Republican Senatorial Committee: Obama's going to win.
The ad, on behalf of Senator Elizabeth Dole, urges a vote against challenger Kay Hagan as the last bulwark against complete Democratic control:
"These liberals want complete control of government in a time of crisis," says the narrator. "All branches of Government. No checks and balances no debate, no independence."
"If Hagain wins, they get a blank check."
Are we approaching every man for himself?
Jonathan Martin's Blog —
McCain has inserted into his stump speech warnings of complete Democratic control in Washington, a line of attack based on the safe assumption that the GOP won't regain the House or Senate.
Now the NRSC is pursuing the same strategy -- only flipped around.
Via Ben Smith, a new ad in the North Carolina Senate race that assumes McCain is a goner.
"If she wins, they got a blank check," says the narrator of Democratic challenger Kay Hagan.
