Senator Inhofe’s video response to DoD budget cuts.
RedState: Conservative News and Community —
Senator Jim Inhofe (R, OK) had some harsh words about proposed DoD cuts:
The text version of these comments may be found here.
As you will note from the transcript and the video, Sen Inhofe is laying blame for the cuts squarely at the feet of President Obama - something that the President’s partisans will consider unfair, but it comes with the desk in the Oval Office. Besides, judging from the things that got cut if the White House wasn’t involved in the process up to the neck then we have a very serious communications problem brewing between the civilian government and ...
Inhofe: Gates’ Defense Budget ‘Disarms America’ And ‘Cuts Funding For Our Troops In The Field’
Think Progress —
In a YouTube video that is getting linked around the conservative blogosphere, Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) attacked Defense Secretary Robert Gates’ 2010 defense budget recommendations, though he aimed his criticism at President Obama instead of Gates. Speaking from Afghanistan, Inhofe declared that “President Obama is disarming America. Never before has a president so ravaged the military at a time of war.”
Specifically, Inhofe charges Obama with cutting funding for “our troops in the field during an ongoing war”:
President Obama’s budget, the largest in the history of America, triples the ...
Inhofe: Obama Is 'Gutting Our Military'
TPM Election Central —
Via Wired comes Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) accusing President Obama of gutting the military. Speaking from Afghanistan on a YouTube video posted by his press office, and contrasting the Gates proposal to the President's domestic budget, Inhofe said, "in all the time we're doing this, increasing all these welfares...the only thing in the budget that's being cut is military." Watch:
Perhaps if Obama had pressed Gates to call it the "Global Warming Is A Fraud Defense Department Budget of 2010", Inhofe wouldn't be so harsh. But it should be noted that Oklahoma stands to lose a great deal of money if Gates ...
Inhofe 2012
Weekly Standard Blog —
The champion of climate change realists blasts the Obama administration for cutting the defense budget in a time of war, which amounts in his words to "a budget to disarm America." Inhofe makes clear that he'll be using his seat on the Senate Armed Services Committee to push back on the announced cuts -- that "Congress cannot, and must not simply go along...and I will work with the House and Senate Armed Services Committees to stop these cuts."
The video was made in Afghanistan and is accompanied on Inhofe's website by an equally hard-hitting blog post:
President Obama’s budget, the largest in the history of America, triples the public debt ...

Jim Inhofe, America Hater
Hoffmania! —
The Dixie Chicks criticized President Bush on foreign soil and were permanently labeled America haters. Now Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) does it to Obama. Worse, he does it in a YouTube video from a military base in Afghanistan. Here's the description from his YouTube channel: In a Youtube video from Afghanistan, Senator Inhofe blasts the

From Dollars To Death Panels: How Republicans Distorted Debates On Capitol Hill
TPM Election Central —
With Thanksgiving recess now upon us, it seems an appropriate time to revisit the hysterical Republican whoppers and talking points about the Democratic party agenda that have dominated this Congress. Herewith a top-five list:
Number Five: Paul Ryan Draws Line On Graph
Back in the Spring, when Democrats were putting together the federal budget, House Budget Committee ranking member Paul Ryan (R-WI) released a much-mocked Republican alternative, which would have basically canceled the stimulus and instituted a spending freeze of sorts. The ideas in the Republican alternative budget were roundly rebuked by experts, but Ryan wasn't deterred. ...
