DSCC: Republicans Pulled A "Hit And Run With Our Economy"
Politics on HuffingtonPost.com — Touching all the spots still sensitive from the Bush years, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee launched a new online effort on Tuesday pinning the economic malaise squarely on the shoulders of the Republican Party. Titled "They Broke It And Won't Fix It," the campaign is a clear reminder that the Democratic Party still sees political capital to gain from the previous administration. The accompanying video accuses Republicans of pulling a "hit and run with our economy" by following the policies of the George W. Bush. "Republicans have done a hit and run with our economy," reads the script. "For eight years ...

VIDEO: DSCC site aims to tag economic mess on GOP
News — VIDEO: DSCC site aims to tag economic mess on GOP The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is up with a new website and web video accusing Republicans of a “hit and run” on the economy. The video knocks the GOP for favoring deregulation and the wealthy and shows scenes of car crashes and reckless driving. Look for this argument to continue to play out this cycle, especially if the economy doesn’t improve fast. Pegging blame was easy for the Democrats in 2008. With control of Congress and a Democratic president, it will require a greater messaging effort this time around. -Aaron Blake

Dems Accuse GOP of 'Hit and Run' in New Ad
Politics Daily — Filed under: Senate, Democrats, Barack Obama, Ads, Economy, Obama AdministrationThe Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has released a new add slamming GOP senators for their opposition to Barack Obama's budget: I like their use of the red convertible, symbol of the overcompensating male, but the hit and run victim was in better shape than she should have been. I guess they couldn't very well have shown a gurney topped with meaty, red goo, but a twisted wreck would have been effective. Maybe a minivan with a "This is my ...

DSCC Ad: Republicans Pulled A “Hit And Run” With Economy

Hard-hitting DSCC ad focuses on ideology
Daily Kos — Now we're seeing some getting down to nitty-gritty as the DSCC steps back and takes a wider view, looking at the core ideology of the Republican Party that led to the economic crisis and the nightmare of deregulation its policies inflicted on the country: This is really great, powerful narrative packed into less than 40 seconds--something Democrats have had trouble mastering in the past. With this video, part of a new campaign aimed at vulnerable GOP senators, according to Greg Sargent, fumbling over message may be headed toward the sunset ... in at least one committee ...
