Philadelphia Flyers fans boo the heck out of Sarah Palin and her daughters
culturekitchen - fresh dissent served daily —
I don't know if the w00t the crowd for booing Sarah Palin or to be appalled at the fact she dragged her middle and smallest daughters out on the ice with her. What kind of a mother subjects their daughters to the scorn and rejection of thousands of fans on a hockey rink?
Oh right. The same mother that would force her daughter through a pregnancy even if she were the victim of rape or sexual abuse by her father.
Way to go Sarah!

Palin Booed At Rangers/Flyers Game?
Say Anything —
Sarah Palin was on hand at the Rangers/Flyers NHL game tonight to drop the puck at the first face off, and according to Editor & Publisher (not exactly an unbiased source) she was booed roundly by the crowd:
You never know where you are gonna find a political scoop, but Lynn Zinser at her NYT hockey “Slapshot” blog just posted that Sarah Palin, in her much-ballyhooed appearance dropping the puck at the Philly Flyers’ opener, was greeted by “resounding (almost deafening) boos from the Flyers crowd.”
The biggest problem: when Palin came out to onto the Wachovia Center ice Saturday ...

Another round of boos: Palin drops the puck in Philadelphia
The Reaction —
By Michael J.W. Stickings Sarah Palin, abuser of power, was in Philly this evening ceremonially dropping the puck before the Flyers home opener against the Rangers. Ryan Cormier at Delaware Online (i.e., The News Journal): So, how did Philadelphia Flyers fans greet Sarah Palin, who was on hand tonight for the ceremonial puck-drop? Watching on Comcast, it seemed like there was an avalanche of boos when she walked out -- boos that were almost immediately drowned out by blaring, bombastic ...

‘Hockey Mom’ Palin Roundly Booed at Ice Hockey Game
Garling Gauge —
Hockey fan: “It’s such a terrible start to the season.”
Sarah Palin, Republican vice presidential nominee and self-titled ‘hockey mom’, was roundly booed at the first hockey game she attended since joining the McCain campaign.
It’s hard to find sympathy for Gov. Palin, given her myopic views on just about everything, but I do feel bad for her daughter, Piper, who shouldn’t have to witness her mother contemptuously booed and hissed by thousands of people.
Funny enough, Palin saw this ...
Obligatory Palin Got Boo’d In Philly Post
Pirate's Cove —
Because hockey is my favorite sport
When Sarah Palin dropped the ceremonial first puck at the Flyers’ opener on Saturday night at the Wachovia Center, she was greeted by resounding (almost deafening) boos. Ed Snider, owner of the Flyers, had her introduced to the crowd more as a hockey mom than as the Republican candidate for vice president. She was flanked by Scott Gomez, the Rangers center, and Mike Richards, the Flyers center.

They're Definitely Boos

The opening night ceremonies for the Philadelphia Flyers...you probably know about the incident. There's some confusion over the booing and the cheering. Let us clear THAT noise up right now.
The cheering you're hearing is for the guy who accompanied Sarah Palin out to the ice for the ceremonial puck drop, the beloved former Flyer, all-star Brian ...

Maybe they should call it "FOX Read"
AMERICAblog News| A great nation deserves the truth —
NBC's First Read actually claimed that Palin's appearance at the hockey game met a "healthy mix of boos and cheers." Really? What video were they watching? I've seen 3. In all, Palin is getting roundly booed. Video 1. Video 2. Video 3. Why must the corporate media always have to play "fair" with the news - meaning, they know the truth, but they think the truth is unfair if it hurts the Republicans, so they always have to spin things as "mixed." Watch the videos. There was no healthy mix. She was booed. A lot. (FirstRead's story sounds a lot like AP's equally warped piece.) ...

I've been watching a lot of hockey over the last few days. It's the start of the NHL season, and NHL Center Ice is having a free preview. And one of the games I watched last night was in Philadelphia, where Alaska Governor and self-proclaimed hockey mom Sarah Palin received a typical Philadelphia reaction. Boos and lots of them. Palin appeared surprised by the reaction, noting that her daughter, Piper, wore a Philadelphia Flyers jersey. Booing is what Philadelphia sports fans are known for. This is the city that booed Santa Claus. This is the city that has one ...
Some Big Bumps In The Road For Sarah Palin’s National Career
The Moderate Voice —
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has hit some bumps in the road in what some consider to be her inexorable attempted road to the 2012 Republican Presidential nomination.
She has some public relations problems at homes — typically being blamed on poor staffing that doesn’t do the real Sarah Palin justice. And the many who plucked her out of being just one more GOP governor and his Vice Presidential nomination is not exactly rushing to endorse her for 2012.
Add to that her previous image problems — she is a favorite of the GOP’s conservative base but a punchline and a reason not to vote Republican for many other Americans — and she has ...

Politics on HuffingtonPost.com —
10) Last September, a skit on Saturday Night Live suggested incest in the Palin family. "What about the husband?" asked a mock Times reporter. "You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska!" No outrage. Sarah Palin appeared on the show one month later in late October.
9) Days after the announcement of Bristol's pregnancy, Conan O'Brien joked, "It's true, John McCain's running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, has revealed that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant. Palin said, 'We should never have introduced her to John Edwards.'" Where was the outrage? Was Conan promoting infidelity with an underage girl?
8 ) From two different ...
