VIDEO: Iranian Students Killed By Basij
The Latest on Air America —
A disturbing new video from Iran emerged today, showing two protesters shot and killed by the Basij (militia). The two men have not been identified, and the date of the video is unknown. Iran entered its tenth day of protests today, with a confirmed total of 17 dead, 100 injured, and 457 arrested. The actual numbers are probably much higher. Watch the video below: (Warning: the below video contains graphic images that some viewers may find objectionable.)

State Dep’t: Iranian diplomats still welcome to celebrate July 4th with U.S. posted at 6:06 pm on June 22, 2009 by Allahpundit Send to a Friend | Share on Facebook | printer-friendly Via Weasel Zippers , a gesture of solidarity per our two nations’ shared interest in life, liberty, and shooting women in the heart on the street, I guess. Not even a disinvitation to the barbecue on America’s birthday as punishment for killing protesters, huh, Barry? Absolutely the lowest moment of his presidency thus far. President Barack Obama’s administration said earlier this month it would invite Iran to US embassy barbecues for the national holiday ...

The kiss of death
Belmont Club —
The Associated Press reports that “Riot police cracked down anew on demonstrators in Iran’s capital on Monday hours after the feared Revolutionary Guard threatened to crush any further post-election protests. A witness described an ‘air of sadness’ marked by people wailing prayers into the night. Security forces used tear gas and fired live bullets in the air to break up a group of about 200 protesters paying tribute to a young woman whose apparent shooting death was captured on video and circulated around the world, witnesses said.” The question of what America should do under the circumstances has divided policy analysts. Ivan Eland at the Independent ...
Weenie diplomacy with Iran still on
Fausta's Blog —
Who knows what kind of perverse reasoning or obfuscated moral compass makes anyone reach these depths, but here you have it:
US says hot dog diplomacy still on with Iran.
Yes, the hot dog diplomacy they were talking about before the Iranian government started shooting at and killing demonstrators, tear gassing them, beating them up with clubs and dragging off the hospital emergency rooms. The same Iranian government that killed Neda last Saturday.
Anyway, here’s the article:
The United States said Monday its invitations were still standing for Iranian diplomats to attend July 4 celebrations at US embassies ...
