Miserable ingrate
Babalú Blog: an island on the net without a bearded dictator —
Miserable ingrate The perfect farewell. Throw two shoes at the man who gave you the freedom, paid for in American blood, to attend a press conference in a country that just five years ago was a bloody dictatorship. Fucking ungrateful asshole. Posted by George Moneo at December 14, 2008 07:08 PM Comments Post a comment
The Size 10 Bomber Misses The POTUS, As Bush Waves Off His Secret Service
Pat Dollard | Young Americans —
Earlier post about the surprise visit to the troops and the Iraqi PM here.
Be sure to pay close attention to the last few lines in bold …
Welcome to Baghdad. An Iraqi reporter set off pandemonium Sunday by hurling two shoes at President Bush during a news conference that was the centerpiece of his secret goodbye visit.
Bush was cool under fire and prevented an even bigger incident by waving off his lead Secret Service agent, who was prepared to extract him from the room.
Video shows the president’s lead agent rushing to the podium, but the president immediately and ...
Deja vue: Perle -> Bush
Preemptive Karma —
Powell Attempts to Show the GOP the Path Back to Legitimacy | Main | Veep Debate thread December 14, 2008 Deja vue: Perle -> Bush It was deja vue of sorts for me as I watched this clip of Iraqi TV journalist Muthathar al Zaidi throwing both of his shoes at Bush . Nearly 4 years ago Carla and I were at a Howard Dean v. Richard Perle debate when someone in the audience threw both of his shoes at Perle and, like al Zaidi, missed both times. Speaking of Perle... he does seem lucid enough to understand that much more than the year which he'd predicted has passed and there is still no "George W. Bush Square" in Baghdad. But he ...
“Journalist” who supports Sunni Arab insurgency against the US and al-Maliki gov’t throws shoes at Bush
Sister Toldjah —
… and of course the left absolutely goes wild with glee. Here’s the video:
Notable among the far lefties celebrating is the HuffPo blog, which has a slideshow but a slow-mo video as well so you can get a frame by frame shot, but also BDS sufferer Andrew Sullivan. In a post titled “Contempt”, he writes:
An Iraqi journalist expresses the sentiment of many Iraqis:
[...]
Five years ago, the shoes were directed toward statues and images of Saddam. And so ...

Latest on the dolt who couldn’t put it across the plate for a strike. New video below:
You know what …
Now, watch the original video again.
Here is a man who for eight years has been pretty much called a coward and other less than flattering names.
Someone attacks him.
Does he stay hunkered down behind the podium for cover until the situation is “all clear”?
No, he stands back up straight and looks the guy right in the eye … STILL able to avoid the second attack. And STILL refusing to take cover.
I love this man. ...
Iraqi Shoe-Chucker Al-Zeidi Sentenced to 3 Years In Prison
Gateway Pundit —
The Iranian regime supporting Sadrist Muntadhar al-Zeidi was sentenced to 3 years in prison today. The AP reported: The Iraqi journalist who threw shoes at then-President George W. Bush was convicted Thursday of assaulting a foreign leader and sentenced to three years in prison, lawyers said. He shouted "long live Iraq" when the sentence was read. The verdict came after a short trial in which Muntadhar al-Zeidi, 30, pleaded not guilty to the charge and said his action was a "natural response to the occupation." Some of his relatives collapsed after the ...
Iraqi Shoe-Chucker al-Zeidi Will Be Released Eary From Prison
Gateway Pundit —
Iraqi shoe-chucker Mantadhar al-Zeidi who assaulted President Bush in Baghdad will be released early. Muntadhar al-Zeidi detested the US and planned the attack on President Bush for months. An Iraqi journalist jailed after hurling his shoes at former President George W. Bush will be released next month after his sentence was reduced for good behavior, his lawyer said Saturday. Muntadhar al-Zeidi's act during Bush's last visit to Iraq as president turned the 30-year-old reporter into a folk hero across the Arab world amid anger over the 2003 invasion. He has been in custody since ...
