Obama-Biden: Which disabled war vets will they insult next?
Michelle Malkin —
What a week for the Gaffe Twins. First, Joe Biden bone-headedly urges a disabled veteran in a wheelchair to “Stand up” during a campaign rally. Next, Barack Obama mocks John McCain for not using a computer to send e-mail — despite mainstream media articles dating back to 2000 that report he can’t type because of the war injuries inflicted by his Vietnamese torturers. Who will their next victims be? Keep these bunglers away from Walter Reed. Reader Matthew Fritch e-mails: Michelle, I just thought I would share this letter to the editor I sent to the Seattle Times and the Olympian in regards to Obama’s latest ad: As a Disabled Veteran and as an ...
Joe Biden addresses the nation
Babalú Blog: an island on the net without a bearded dictator —
Joe Biden addresses the nation "Stand up and take a bow! Oh. Sorry. I was too stupid to realize the guy I was going to introduce was in a wheelchair. Oops. I'll do lots better in the White House though. Promise." What brilliance! What intelligence! The perfect choice for the Dems. He is a Man Who Will Fight for Your Honor
Weekly Standard Blog —
He'll be the hero you're dreaming of.
Barack Obama goes to town on McCain's negative ads today, with the ad, "Honor:"
Obama can surely remark upon the tone of McCain's campaign compared with promises he's made to take the high road, though McCain's ads have been pretty much within the scope of normal campaign exaggeration and have been fact checked with vigor by our friends in the media.
But was today really the day to assault McCain's "honor" with respect to campaign ads when Obama's campaign has been fact-checked and found accidentally mocking McCain's war injuries by the LA Times and ...
Hey Obama, How’s That ‘Judgment to Lead’ Meme Going?
Pajamas Media —
Another of his claims to the presidency evaporates before our eyes. [image] Barack Obama’s premise for his presidential candidacy is his “judgment to lead.” He may not have the same experience as his opponent, but he has what it takes to make the right call. The examples we’re given of Obama’s insightful judgment include his opposition to America going into Iraq back in 2003 — when he was a state senator and had no real political stake in taking either position — and … anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Obama is a charismatic speaker when the words are right there in front of him. Heck, I can be too. In fact, I serve as a lay reader at my church and was told by a ...
Isn't it patriotic to pay taxes?
Althouse —
Let me inflict another McCain ad you. This one riffs on Joe Biden's statement that they wealthy ought pay more taxes, because "It's time to be patriotic ... time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut." Of course, the McCain campaign is thoroughly justified in taking Biden's statement and running with it, but let's give Biden a chance to defend himself. I certainly think he's being honest and believes, as Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., put it "Taxes are the price we pay for civilization." I think it's is patriotic to pay our share for the civilization we get ...
God Love You

The Hostages: Planning A Code Red Since April 2007 —
This is what I’m drinking tonight:
I’ve been sick for a week and, surprisingly, having 20 cocktails and smoking 20 cigarettes last night with wiserbud and Edward Von Bear didn’t help me get well.
It’s almost debate time. In our corner:

...that you'll ever do lonely_plugs.jpg There he is, America. The man who could be a heartbeat away from the presidency. The man who'll take over if, say, Obama dies of lung cancer or some other ailment we don't know about because he won't release his medical records. (Assuming Biden doesn't have another aneurysm first.)* The man who said "jobs" is a three-letter word ...
Stand Up, Barack! Part Doh! My God, What Have We Done? [Reader Post]
Flopping Aces —
You’ve got to hand it to Joe Biden. Sir Gaffe-a-lot tried to warn us about this guy, Barack Obama. For whatever reason, subconscious guilt, knowledge that he had made a dreadful mistake or whatever, he guaranteed a “generated crisis” for Barack within six months. He hinted heavily at what he had said openly several times before: Obama is not ready and there is something very disquieting about him.
Well, that “Stand Up, Chuck!” realization is spreading like wildfire. [To see the original “Chuck” incident, go here]. Take a look around. A record 10% post-election stock drop did not really match any new information except ...
Biden Proves He’s an Idiot For the 3,279,321th Time.
Say Anything —
Stand up for us Chuck.
During his meeting with Spain’s primer minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero in Chile yesterday, Biden thanked Zapatero for his effort… in Iraq (link in Spanish, haven’t found this detail in any English-language media).
As everybody knows, the first decision Zapatero made after his unexpected win in 2004, right after the Madrid train terrorist attacks, was to abruptly and unilaterally pull out from Iraq.
I think Obama only picked Biden because it makes Obama look more with it.
