McCain Has Bad Judgment
J. Bradford DeLong's Grasping Reality with All Eight Tentacles —
From the Jed Report:
Judgment? McCain Says He'd Have Picked Cheney, Rumsfeld - The Jed Report: John McCain says this election is about judgment.... But as this video shows, John McCain has bad judgment.... [I]f he'd been elected president, he would have chosen Dick Cheney as his vice president and nominated Donald Rumsfeld to be his Secretary of Defense... the "strongest" national security team we've ever had... ...

McCain says that he would've picked Cheney and Rumsfeld. McCain wouldn't just be 4 more years of the same, he would be 4 more years of the worst of the worst administration ever. -Diane Stumble Upon Toolbar Stumble It! on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 9:41 PM | | | Permalink [image] [image]

Good morning. Didn't get my text message overnight so no V.P. announcement yet. The suspense is building, huh? The clock is ticking. And, while we're on the subject of V.P., McCain said he would have chosen Cheney, too -- and Jed has the video: McCain will give us four more years of Bush. Now, we know he'd want four more years of Cheney, too. Start threading...

Bush Moves To Remove Iraq From The Campaign By... Adopting Obama's Position-- McCain Too Busy Counting His Homes To Realize

After a sudden and unannounced flight, Condoleeza Rice is in Baghdad this morning. She's hammering the Iraqi political leadership on the timing of the withdrawal of U.S. forces And on the issue of extraterritoriality (i.e.- the "issue of immunity for American troops from Iraqi prosecution.") The U.S. and Iraq have been haggling over this since early March and Condi said, “This agreement will be ready when it’s ready." It's especially funny because American neoCons are yelling about Russian troops occupying a couple of checkpoints in northern Georgia near where Stalin was born just as the UN document making the U.S. occupation of Iraq ...
Did McCain Push Rumsfeld For More Troops In Iraq? Rumsfeld’s Notes Suggest He Didn’t.
Think Progress —
Throughout his campaign, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has disguised his support for a failed strategy in Iraq by regularly railing against Donald Rumsfeld. A lengthy Washington Times article today highlighting McCain’s advocacy for more troops (calling it a “David against Goliath” battle) reveals that McCain’s push for more troops may have been more tepid than he portrays.
In an August 2003 meeting with Rumsfeld, McCain “made a very passionate case that we need to look at adding more troops,” according to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). But in a note from Rumsfeld just after meeting, McCain reportedly told Rumsfeld, “the answer may not be ...

McCain's definition of experience matches Bush's definition of experience. It would be four more years of the wrong kind of experience.

Last night, I took a cab back to my hotel from the festivities. I'm staying in a part of Denver called Cherry Creek, which is around 5 miles from downtown. My cabdriver told me that if I ever got to talk to Obama or any of his people I should give them some advice. Any time McCain wants to talk about experience, the Obama campaign should respond by adding up all the experience of Cheney and Rumsfeld, among others, and ask how well all that experience did for this country? Experience is one thing, but McCain and his cronies have the wrong kind of experience. My cabdriver is right. ...
An Itemized Case For Barack Obama
Comments from Left Field —
I’m going to bite off of Ron Chusid, who in turn is borrowing from D-Kos diarist ShadowSD, simply because the list below the fold is a solid case for Barack Obama as our next President of the United States.

McCain would have picked Cheney as VP
Politicol News —
John McCain says he would have picked Dick Cheney as Vice President and Rumsfeld as Secretary of Defense, which does not bode well for his platform as a change agent.
The truth is that John McCain picked a total novice with no experience which is worse that choosing the very people that mismanaged the war and cost many American soldiers their lives.
McCain clearly cannot lie his way through these statements and the American voters have a good memory of the losses this country has faced since George Bush and the Republicans have taken power.
We just cannot afford 4 more years of Republicans who just ...
