In the wake of the nervousness many people are feeling over Obama's inability to counter McCain's negative campaiging, there is a big drive going on now in Democratic circles to fund 527s to hit back on his behalf. I just got back from a dermatologist for a check-up (growing up in Miami with outdoor summers requires this), and I asked her about McCain and skin cancer. He's had various types of the disease and I wanted to get a sense of whether he's really in danger or if this is one of those treatable forms of cancer. And she told me that basically, some skin cancers are not that bad, but malignant melanoma - the kind McCain has had in two separate places - is not one of those. It's bad. Real bad. John Hawkins has compiled a list of 20 "most obnoxious" anti-Palin statements and they are most foul. What is surprising when you see them all together like that is how many of them come from well known people -- Hollywood actors, high profile Democrats, etc. It would be easy to compile a list of top thousand outrageous anti-Palin quotes made by anonymous moonbats from the comments at Democratic Underground or Daily Kos, but most all of the ones John lists are from people who are named and are in the public eye.
