Now McCain is hearing voices
AMERICAblog News| A great nation deserves the truth — Dear Lord. Now John McCain is hearing voices that aren't there. While sitting awfully wooden for an interview on CNN today, McCain was asked about the people in the crowds at his rallies calling for Obama to be assassinated. McCain says that he's heard people call for him to be killed at Obama rallies too. Really? Funny those videos never made it to YouTube. Is this Liar McCain or Erratic McCain making these crazy accusations out of the blue? The media needs to follow up with McCain and ask him for specifics. When did the crowd at Obama's rallies repeatedly call for McCain to be killed? A very inauspicious beginning for a man who claims he's ditching the lies ...

Hullabaloo — They Do It Toooo by digby Has anyone ever heard someone shout the words "terrorist" or "traitor" about John McCain at an Obama really? McCain claims he has: I thought they would haul out the Palin getting booed thing as evidence that both sides were rude and unmannerly. I didn't think he was just going to make stuff up out of whole cloth. Or maybe he's recalling the 2000 Republican primary, where Bush partisans were calling him a Manchurian candidate. The terrorist/traitor epithet is a very specific right wing slur, I'm afraid. They even turn a ...

Put Your Wife's Money Where Your Mouth Is....
Daily Kos — John McCain went on CNN today and when asked about the hateful comments at his rallies, he replied: I've heard the same things at Senator Obama's rallies about me. Disgusting --- and an obvious lie.  If the McCain camp had heard one single thing of that nature at an Obama rally, they'd be blasting video of it all over the Internet and traditional media to counter all of the negative public reaction to their own hateful rallies. They love to take the low road and look for the smallest hint of an infraction by their opponent (real or perceived) and scream "see -- they do it too!" Somehow justifying their own poor judgment and ...

“I hear voices”

"I hear voices"
Rising Hegemon — And they are helping manufacture my own reality: "I've heard the same things ("terrorist", "traitor") said about me at Senator Obama's rallies" So John McCain is attending Obama rallies? That doesn't seem like a good strategy to me, but then again, I'm no Steve Schmidt. Maybe he's sending his six-foot invisible rabbit Harvey to check things out for him. And hey, way to follow up with a request for evidence there Dana Bash, when is the next McCain "Dry-Rub" get together anyhow? Good journalism. And hey, more McCain manufacturing a new ...

Hmm
Shakesville — Iain and I saw this clip last night on Campbell Brown's show (CAMPBELL!!! BROWN!!! NO BIAS!!! NO BULL!!!) and we both just burst out laughing: Dana Bash: We've heard people in the crowd screaming things like "terrorist," "traitor"—when you talked about Senator Obama—and worse. John McCain: I've heard the same thing—I've heard the same thing at, at—I've heard the same thing, unfortunately, at, at Senator Obama's rallies, being said about me.Really? Since I don't guess Senator McCain has actually been in attendance at any of those rallies, I'm supposing he means he's ...
