McCain prescient on Russia?
Jonathan Martin's Blog — When violence broke out in the Caucasus Friday morning, John McCain quickly issued a statement that was far more strident toward the Russians than that of President Bush, Barack Obama and much of the West. But, as Russian warplanes pounded Georgian targets far beyond South Ossetia this weekend, Bush, Obama and others have moved closer to McCain's initial position. MCCAIN GETS THAT - HE'S BEEN PUSHING IT SINCE 2000.VOTE ACCORDINGLY.

PUTIN'S NEXT MOVE: RUSSIAN NAVY TO VISIT CHAVEZ - STAGE EXERCISES
THE ASTUTE BLOGGERS — ... the move is likely to raise concern in the US, whose relations with Russia have been soured by Moscow's recent conflict in Georgia. Washington already has rocky relations with Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez. In July, he called for a strategic alliance with Russia to protect Venezuela from the US. THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO INTIMDATE US. IF OBAMA IS POTUS THIS KIND OF THREATENING CRAP WILL WORK. BUT NOT ON MCCAIN WHO, UNLIKE BUSH, HAS SEEN PUTIN FOR WHAT HE IS SINCE 2000. ...
