The most important aspect of the debate, in my view, was Obama's liberal insistence that it is high time that this country began to invest in its people. McCain put forth the usual conservative argument to the contrary, or it's every man, woman, and child for herself, as in Viva la Katrina! Other than his ridiculous conspiracy theory suggestion that Obama belongs to some secret cell of (socialist) terrorists, I found viewing McCain on the split screen to be exceedingly annoying. There's been a lot of buzz about John McCain's body language throughout last night's debate. That his contempt for Obama was palpable in his incessant blinking and weird smiling.

Last night Senator John McCain and Senator Barack Obama shared a stage for what is most likely the last time during this presidential election season. It was the last best chance for McCain to force a game changer to save his flagging campaign, while for Senator Obama, he had the monumental task of protecting his frontrunner status against an opponent who has nothing to lose.
