Another McCain Flip-Flop Underway?
Daily Kos —
When it comes to Bush's ban on embryonic stem cell research, John McCain has at times almost lived up to his mythical maverickness, even going so far as to state unequivocally in one of the early GOP Presidential debates that he would reverse it. But from an article ironically titled Candidates Vow To Keep Politics Out Of Science, it sounds like the Arizona Senator could be laying the groundwork for another inglorious flip-flop: [McCain] has said that he would support legislation that would expand federal funding for embryonic stem cell research and place fewer restrictions on it. Logan Nakyanzi Pollard: Those McCain Houses... why they don't matter

Over at the Los Angeles Times, Maeve Reston offers up her account of that time she asked John McCain a question about Viagara and officially caused the break up of the Arizona Senator and his once-beloved "base," the traveling press corps. If you don't remember the moment precisely, hers was the question that spawned this monster of a YouTube clip that, for a time, haunted McCain:
