With McCain lagging in military-heavy northern Virgina and Hampton Roads, the RNC is going up with a spot in the commonwealth aimed at the defense industry workers in those regions whose jobs depend on federal spending.
The attack is based on a recent Barney Frank comment -- that McCain also incorported into his national security speech today -- in which the Massachusetss congressman said defense spending may have to be cut.
