O'Reilly, Van Susteren debate Fox report
Michael Calderone's Blog —
Today on "The Radio Factor," Bill O'Reilly and Greta van Susteren debated whether some recent pieces on Sarah Palin -- including one by Fox's Carl Cameron -- are gossip or real reporting. (Johnny Dollar captured the audio).
Last week, Cameron reported:
There was great concern in the McCain campaign that Sarah Palin lacked a degree of knowledgeability necessary to be a running mate, a vice president, and a heartbeat away from the presidency.
We are told by folks that she didn’t know what countries were in NAFTA — the North American Free Trade Agreement. That’d be Canada, the U.S., ...

Greta argues with O'Reilly over that Carl Cameron 'gossip' on Sarah Palin
Top of the Ticket —
Greta Van Susteren, as a woman who has fought her way through the mostly-male ranks in the legal profession and the mostly-male world of journalism and the mostly-male broadcast world, has made no secret of her concern over the different standards that apply to news coverage of women in the mostly-male world of big-time politics.
Example: Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. And before that New York Sen. Hillary Clinton.
You know, all the coverage of their hair, up or down, how it's parted, the pantsuits, the alleged Nieman-Marcus trips, etc. With virtually no attention paid to superficialities ...
