That's what I'm taking from the panicked reaction Barky's camp is having at the release of the Redistribution of Wealth tape. Their decision to blame Fox News (!) over the story is an attack that resonates only with their liberal base.
Resorting to an attack on Fox for what is now an international story (because of its relevance) and moved by the blogosphere and talk radio is odd, but if you're afraid you've begun to see your own base erode, it's a Hail Mary pass worth throwing. Remember when John and Elizabeth Edwards would blame everything on Ann Coulter? Here's the bigger, more stupid version of that.
