    This from Time magazine.

(link is also now on Time homepage)

The clip on YouTube is totally doctored: they spliced together various segments to make her sound incoherent.

I don't want her, but she's not that stupid.

Maybe someone wants us to ridicule Palin so that then they can play the feminist victim card.

Wouldn't surprise me coming from the McCain camp

Palin on Iraq
Matthew Yglesias — Make of this what you will: I, frankly, have no idea what she’s trying to say here. Apparently the McCain campaign didn’t think it was important to brief her on their Iraq policy before she did an interview with Time ...

Palin is seemingly unaware of McCain’s Iraq plan.
Think Progress — In an interview with Time Magazine today, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK), Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) running mate, suggested that McCain has yet to share his plan for Iraq with her. Palin, who has not been to Iraq, said she does not know “what the plan is to ever end the war.” She later said its “tough” to “talk about the plan for the war” because her son will be deployed to Iraq this September. “Let’s make sure we have a plan here,” she said. Palin then added, “respecting McCain’s position on that too though.” Listen here: ...

"Let's Make Sure We Have A Plan Here"
The Daily Dish | By Andrew Sullivan — Oh God. This is now getting officially painful. Just listen to this audio of Palin talking about Iraq. It's excruciating. She doesn't "know what the plan is to ever end the war"? She sounds about as informed as someone you would grab off the subway at random. This is how seriously McCain takes foreign policy and war? Here's the full interview from August 14th. And here's the quote in more context: The GOP agenda to ramp up domestic supplies of energy is the only way that we are going to become energy independent, the only way that we are going to become a more secure nation. And I say this, of course, knowing the ...

Sarah Palin doesn't know much about the plan for the Iraq war.
AMERICAblog News| A great nation deserves the truth — You have to hear Sarah Palin's views on the war in Iraq -- from Sarah Palin. She really doesn't know what "the plan" is or too much about Iraq or foreign policy. Just listen to excerpts of Sarah Palin from an interview with TIME magazine. It's from August 14, 2008. That's just two weeks ago. This should make you feel safer. She'd be one heart beat (or another bout of cancer) away from the being the leader of our nation. In these dangerous times of which John McCain so often speaks, John McCain made a craven political decision. He's willing to entrust the safety of our country to someone who knows nothing about keeping us safe. ...
