Palin: ‘I don’t know’ if abortion clinic bombers are ‘terrorists.’
Think Progress —
In her interview with NBC’s Brian Williams, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said that Bill Ayers is “no question” a terrorist because he sought to destroy the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon. Palin, however, refused to apply the same label to abortion clinic bombers:
Q: Is an abortion clinic bomber a terrorist, under this definition, governor?
PALIN: (Sigh). There’s no question that Bill Ayers via his own admittance was one who sought to destroy our U.S. Capitol and our Pentagon. That is a domestic terrorist. There’s no question there. Now, others who would want to engage in harming innocent Americans or ...

Brian Williams: Is an abortion clinic bomber a terrorist under this definition? [The definition to which he is referring was in his comment immediately preceding the question, not in this clip: "Back to the notion of terrorists and terrorism, this word has come up in relation to Mr. Ayers—hanging out with terrorists—domestic terrorists. It is said that it gives it a vaguely post, uh, 9/11 hint, using that word, that we don't normally associate with domestic crimes. Are we changing the definition? Are the people who set fire to American cities during the '60's terrorists, under this ...
Palin Appeases Some Terrorists

There's a clearcut distinction for Sarah. Bill Ayers is a domestic terrorist. Abortion clinic firebombers and those who assassinate clinic doctors are her base. That makes them 'freedom fighters for unborn babies imprisoned in lefty-socialist wombs'.
Palin: 'I Don't Know' If Abortion Clinic Bombers Are Terrorists
Daily Kos —
The buffoonish nature of Sarah Palin's vice presidential candidacy has mostly been a disaster for the McCain-Palin campaign, but it is has delivered at least one benefit: her foibles have helped obscure the true nature of her right-wing extremism. But now, Sarah Palin's self-destructive behavior is threatening to expose even that. In an interview broadcast yesterday on NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams asked Palin whether she felt abortion clinic bombers were terrorists. Amazingly, she said that she didn't know. MSNBC reports (emphasis added): Palin resisted the suggestion that if Ayers was a "domestic terrorist" ...
Palin Refuses To Classify Abortion Clinic Bombers As Terrorists?
Say Anything —
That’s what they’re saying at Firedoglake, but I’m not so sure that’s an accurate characterization of her comments.
First, let me be clear: Abortion clinic bombers are terrorists. They’re in the same category as William Ayers is, and if McCain and/or Palin had the same sort of relationship with an abortion clinic bomber as Obama has with Ayers they’d have been so buried by media outrage they wouldn’t even be campaigning still right now.
Here’s the exchange between Palin and Brian Williams which is causing all the controversy: ...

I wish they hadn't cut away--I'd like to see what McCain's expression was as she denied that bombing medical clinics is terrorism. Brit Friend sent me the link, which is from Daily Kos.
Sarah Palin Condones Domestic Terrorism by Anti-Abortionists

MARK KARLIN'S EDITOR'S BLOG October 26 There’s no way around it. Yes, you can parse words, but when Sarah Palin can’t call anti-abortionist killers domestic terrorists, you have a vice-presidential candidate who – along with her support for the secessionist and neo-Confederate Alaskan Independence Party – is indeed a true supporter of domestic terrorism and anti-American activities. Murderers of medical personnel and clinic staffs who provide abortion have websites, as you know, with lists of names of people – primarily doctors – to be shot. When Brian Williams of NBC asked Palin if such murderers were domestic terrorists she danced around the question by first, yet again, ...
