Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has gone into damage-control mode, rolling out a new ad in which she subtly acknowledges that the controversy surrounding her McCarthyist rantings about Barack Obama, which have put her narrowly behind conservative Democrat El Tinklenberg in the polls in this Republican-leaning district:
