VIDEO: Gov. Palin drops the puck in tonight’s Rangers/Flyers game
Sister Toldjah — Sweet! The person who posted the video noted only that she got “booed” but it sounded to me like the crowd was divided. Maybe ST reader GWR, who has said he would be attending tonight’s game, will clarify for us when he gets a chance to post about it. Here are some photos of the Governor as she walked out onto the ice. Today must be the day for GOP ladies and sports events. Cindy McCain was the honorary grand marshal at today’s big NASCAR race here in Charlotte.

In her original post Zinser exaggerated the boos by the crowd, attacked Flyers owner Ed Snider for inviting Palin to the event and appears to have fabricated the discomfort felt by NHL players Scott Gomez and Mike Richards. That account has since been changed. Somewhere along the line Zinser gutted the original article and replaced  it with a new one that came a ...

Jason Notte: Why Hockey Should Give Palin a Pass
Politics on HuffingtonPost.com — When I was little more than three years old, my father pulled me into the living room, scooped my infant sister from her crib and yelled like a madman as the U.S. men's hockey team went onto its Winter Olympics win over the Soviet Union in 1980. In that moment, with my dad bouncing around like a marsupial, my sister along for the ride and my young mouth trying to form the word "Eruzione," the Nottes became a hockey family. The unity in that room and during countless evenings spent in cold arenas since stood in stark contrast to the divisions with Philadelphia's Wachovia Center on Saturday night, when vice-presidential hopeful and avowed hockey mom Sarah Palin turned ...
