Me fail civics? That's unpossible!
Daily Kos —
Take a look at a clip from another typically vapid and disastrous Sarah Palin television interview and see what it looks like when the reporter is actually uninterested in clarifications or follow ups. I guess that's what Palin has moved on to these days. Local affiliate interviews with reporters who won't ask anything hard. But that doesn't actually mean Palin gives correct answers. Oh, no! Far from it! All it means is that the reporter asking the questions doesn't give any indication of being aware that the answers are incorrect. Here's her answer to the last question she's asked. It's a doozy, and she has to b.s. her way through it. It came from a ...
Letting Sarah be Sarah: VP duties

From a local Colorado TV station.
Yes, she could have been trying to explain "President of the Senate" to a youngster.
But this will only add more fodder.
The Vanna White of Civics...
At-Largely —
Sarah Palin has once again made claims to powers a Vice President does not have, proving once again that anyone can be elected to a government office, including a corrupt, idiotic, bimbo with a god complex. Vanna, err, Sarah Palin said the following yesterday during a televised interview:
PALIN: That’s something that Piper would ask me! … [T]hey’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.
See the whole thing below. Once again I have to ask why it is that the right-wing's definition of feminism always ...
The Palin Implosion Continues
Politics Daily —
Filed under: Republicans, John McCain, Featured Stories, Sarah PalinIt has been another dizzying 24-hours for John McCain's vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin. Last night, two damaging stories broke. First, The Associated Press revealed that Palin had inappropriately used Alaska taxpayer money to pay for plane travel for her daughters to attend functions to which they were not invited. After the fact, Palin went back and altered expense reports to make it look like her kids were part of "official business." One such taxpayer-funded trip was to watch Todd Palin participate in a snowmobile ...

On Monday while in Colorado, Palin taped an interview with Denver NBC affiliate KUSA. Chris Matthews Rips Quote Out of Context to Knock Palin
Weekly Standard Blog —
Fast forward to a little past the three minute mark in this clip of Chris Matthews's exchange with Nancy Pfotenhauer of the McCain campaign. Matthews goes on quite a tear about Sarah Palin's explanation of what the role of the vice president is:
Pfotenhauer says Palin was merely trying to explain the role of the vice president to a young child, but Chris Matthews says that's not true:
She's talking to a news reporter at the time. She's talking to a news reporter at the time. Nancy, she's talking to a news reporter. ...
She said that she had been asked the question earlier ...
Andy Ostroy: Sarah Palin's "In Charge of the Senate." Tina Fey Says "Thank You" For Her Next Skit
Politics on HuffingtonPost.com —
Speaking to a reporter Tuesday who asked her about a third-grader's question about the role of the United States vice president, Gov. Sarah Palin, Republican nominee Sen. John McCain's running mate, offered this explanation:
"... A vice president has a really great job because, not only are they there to support the president's agenda, they're like the team member, the teammate to that president, but also, they're in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the Senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his ...
