Tonight is the second episode of the reboot of the V science fiction miniseries from my childhood. If you aren't familiar with the original, in it the earth is invaded by a group of evil aliens that claim, at first, to be benevolent. Throughout the series parallels between the visitors and Nazis are made and groups who fall for their deception are likened to youth corps of that era. When I first heard details of the remake, I was worried. Producers and writers said they wanted to take the Nazi parallels of the original and morph them into something that made a comment on the issues of the day and the primary issue they chose was terrorism.
