Video: John McCain Makes Grandpa Simpson Look Young And Sprightly
Oliver Willis — Seriously? This guy? You ask him a pretty easy question and he loses his place. Look, I wouldn’t have a problem if we made John McCain the president of shuffleboard… but not the United States. (via) ...

Fit to lead? Good question.
Blah3 Feed — Jed Report has posted a pretty damaging video of McCain completely going blank in the middle of a Town Hall Q&A the other day. Check it out. This is why his campaign is ginning up all this crap against Obama - they want to distract from the fact that the GOP candidate is clearly not at the top of his game any more. Will this show up anywhere in the media? Probably not - so all of you bloggers out there, large and small, should post this. As we know from George Allen's 'Macaca' video, a viral piece of video can be a game-changer. Post it today. Thanks.

John McCain stumbles on question about attack on Obama
AMERICAblog News| A great nation deserves the truth — Watch this video from Jed. Remember, McCain and his campaign manager made race a central issue in the campaign last week -- right around the time Juliet Eilperin from the Washington Post asked this question. Yet, McCain couldn't even begin to respond. It wasn't a hard question. What's that all about? ...

What Happened?
Crooks and Liars — Jed of the Jed Report saw my post on McCain’s outright lies that he supported the MLK holiday in Arizona and pulled together different footage of the same event, which makes that awkward pause in McCain’s answer that much more stark. ...

Doddering
Hoffmania! — Via Blah3: Hoo, brother. If McCain starts doing this in the debates, he's more toast than he is now.

Pink Elephant watch
AMERICAblog News| A great nation deserves the truth — Checked out Joe's post on the Next Cheney. One of McCain's potential picks is Charlie Crist. Any more news on Charlie Crist being McCain's VP? I saw that McCain did an event with Crist this weekend - the one where McCain seemed to have something wrong with him (see video below). There have been rumors for years about Crist's sexual orientation, and while, yes, Crist does now suddenly have a "fiancée," the religious right isn't that dumb. They know that lots of closeted gay men marry women as cover (in other words, having a fiancée doesn't necessarily say anything about your true sexual orientation). ...

All Those Houses. . .
TPMCafe — I've not been all that excited about the McCain "I don't know how many houses I've got" gaffe. (I have to admit though that Josh Marshall's take on it does get the heart racing a bit.) I know others who aren't tuned into such details and they'd make fine national leaders. One can be out of touch with a lot of things -- numerous homes, paying bills on time, remembering to put gas in the car, knowing which drawer the kitchen utensils are in (that's one of my regular screw-ups), and so on. But Rogue Columnist captures the beyond-home implications of the gaffe that we should be concerned ...

All Those Houses. . .
The Washington Note — I've not been all that excited about the McCain "I don't know how many houses I've got" gaffe. I know others who aren't tuned into such details and they'd make fine national leaders. One can be out of touch with a lot of things -- numerous homes, paying bills on time, remembering to put gas in the car, knowing which drawer the kitchen utensils are in (that's one of my regular screw-ups), and so on. But Rogue Columnist captures the beyond-home implications of the gaffe that we should be concerned about: President-elect McCain's inability to recall how ...

jmhm.livejournal.com 8/3/2008 — in the course of this week's massive kabuki extravaganza over race (I'll save you some time: neither campaign has ever heard of it), Sen. McCain took some time out to hat tip Martin Luther King (what are the odds) McCain Defended Opposition Of Federal ...
McCain Lies About His Support For MLK Jr. Day in Arizona
crooksandliars.com 8/3/2008 — Liar, liar, Grampa McSame pants on fire. Clearly, McCain is not used to the YouTube generation where you can no longer lie without a bunch of bloggers furiously fact-checking.  And the facts for McCain, they don’t look so good.  ...
Sorry, no BBQ for you.
blah3.com 8/5/2008 — I've been hearing about how McCain has been stiffing the national press in preference of talking to state and local newspapers. But it looks like even on the secondary/tertiary levels of media, some folks just ain't welcome . Tallahassee Democrat ...
